Installing phpMyAdmin on Ubuntu 18.04

  3. During the installation, you'll be prompted to choose the web server that should be automatically configured to run phpMyAdmin. Use the spacebar to select Apache, then press Enter.
  4. Next, you'll be asked to configure the database for phpMyAdmin. Select Yes and press Enter.
  5. Set a password for the MySQL administrative user, which is root by default.
  6. Confirm the password and wait for the installation to complete.
  7. After the installation is finished, open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost/phpmyadmin. You should see the phpMyAdmin login page.
  8. Enter your MySQL username and password to log in, and you will have access to your databases via the phpMyAdmin interface.
