Installing ISPConfig on Ubuntu 18.04

ISPConfig is an open source web hosting control panel that allows you to manage multiple websites, email accounts, FTP accounts, and DNS records through a web-based interface. It provides an intuitive and user-friendly interface for managing your hosting environment, making it easier to handle various administrative tasks.

Step 1: Update system packages

Before installing ISPConfig, update your Ubuntu system packages to ensure you have the latest updates and security fixes. Open a terminal and run the following command:

Step 3: Download ISPConfig

cd /tmp
wget https://www.ispconfig.org/downloads/ISPConfig-3.2.5.tar.gz
tar xvf ISPConfig-3.2.5.tar.gz
cd ispconfig3_install/install/

Step 4: Install ISPConfig

To start the installation process, run the following command:

sudo php -q install.php

You will be presented with a series of prompts during the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure ISPConfig according to your needs. Once the installation is complete, you will see the message "Installation completed successfully."

Step 5: Access ISPConfig

Now that ISPConfig is installed, you can access the web-based interface by opening a browser and entering your server's IP address followed by ":8080" in the address bar. For example, http://your_server_ip:8080.

You will be prompted to create an administrator account for ISPConfig. Fill in the required information and click "Save." You can now log in to the ISPConfig control panel using the administrator account credentials.
